... holds a Master's (Diplom) in Informatics and works as a software architekt and engineer for adesso AG since September 2001.

Beforehand, he used to be a research scientist at the chair for efficient algorithms and complexity theory at the faculty of informatics of Dortmund University, Germany. As a member of the collaborative research center ``Computational Intelligence'' he was involved in research on the theoretical foundations of evolutionary algorithms.

... is interested in combinatorial optimization and algorithmic geometry, programming languages and document management, complexity theory and linguistic discourse analysis, Unix, TeX and programming tools.
